Lecture Assignments

This is a current list of lecture assignments given out by Dr. Waxman. New lecture assignments are added as Dr. Waxman assigns them out to the class.

Remember: All assignments e-mailed to your lab instructor must be e-mailed from your Queens College e-mail address!

Use Internet Explorer when sending your assignment from your Queens College e-mail address. Attachments do not work with the Firefox web browser.


  1. Lecture Assignment 1

    The actual assignment is given on pages 19 through 22 in your lecture notes book.

    Part 1 of the assignment asks you to 1) create a blog, 2) write blog entries about certain material listed in the assignment description, and 3) e-mail the web address (URL) of your blog to your lab instructor.

    Due Date for Part 1: Submit this assignment to your lab instructor by Wednesday September 30, 2009.

  2. Part 2 of the assignment asks you to comment on the blog of 2 other students in your class. You will e-mail (to your lab instructor) the web addresses (URL) of the 2 blogs.

    Due Date for Part 2: Submit this assignment to your lab instructor by Wednesday October 7, 2009.

  3. Lecture Assignment 2

    The actual assignment is given on page 30 in your lecture notes book. The assignment asks you to create a PowerPoint presentation.

    Save the PowerPoint presentation with the filename having the following format: your last name, followed by an underscore _, followed by your first name, followed by an underscore _, followed by the word Social.

    For example, if your name is John Doe then the filename would be: Doe_John_Social

    E-mail the PowerPoint Presentation to your lab instructor.

    Due Date: Submit this assignment to your lab instructor by Thursday November 12, 2009.

  4. Lecture Assignment 3

    The actual assignment is given on page 36 in your lecture notes book. The assignment asks you to write an essay.

    Save the essay in a Word document.

    Save the Word document with the filename having the following format: your last name, followed by an underscore _, followed by your first name, followed by an underscore _, followed by the word Open.

    For example, if your name is John Doe then the filename would be: Doe_John_Open

    E-mail the Word document to your lab instructor.
